BEIJING-- The high-performance, affordable synthetic intelligence model released recently by Chinese start-up DeepSeek has produced a wave of attention worldwide. DeepSeek-R1 appears to use efficiency that from the U.S., but the company states it was established at less than a tenth of the cost of those models.
